Objective

The broad objective of the assignment is to Develop an online Billing management System which will streamline the billing process as well as automate the calculation process and carry out additional activities required for completion of overall intent of the project in the HQ & all (64) Warehouses of Odisha State warehousing Corporation (OSWC).


Specific Objective

The purpose of development of Online Billing management System is to

  • Streamline the billing proces
  • Avoid human errors by automation of the bill calculation process
  • Fasten the billing process
  • Maintain dashboard so that the higher authority can able to get exact figures against each warehouse.

Current Scenario in Odisha Ware House Corporation

We understand that Odisha Warehouse Corporation is governed as per the provision of warehousing act 1962. and warehousing rules 1974. The organization comprises of 11 Directors. The managing director controls the daily operation on behalf of the Board of directors.

The OSWC has 63 Godowns which is supervised by 08 Zonal Managers and controlled by Head office situated at Bhubaneswar.

The major operation of Odisha ware house corporation is to provide storage space to different depositors to keep/ store their commodities on specified rate.

To manage the billing process 63 ware houses in a manual process is a cumbersome task for the concerned authorities as OSWC deals with various commodities hence the billing process are different.


Generally OSWC stores commodities of following types

  • Fertilizers
  • Commodities related to Civil Supply Corporations
  • Commodities of Food Corporation India (FCI)
  • Other commodities.

Solution Architecture

  • All warehouses will be connected in a single network irrespective of any geographic location
  • Data will be shared through internet
  • All the stake holders will access their part of the application by using separate user id and password
  • Data once submitted will be automatically saved in the server for future use.
